at Timbart, we design contemporary sculptural objects, furniture, and bespoke surfaces in collaboration with emerging and established designers and artists globally that transform spaces and evoke emotions. there are pieces of furniture that endure: transcend generations, paradigm shifts in art and design, and evoke memories, and emotions.

Apart from our CORE Collection, we create bespoke pieces without limitations as our design process allows for full customization. The desire to constantly create and co-create is deeply embedded in our DNA. Our expertise is centered around wood, yet we’re working with various innovative materials that well contrast or complement this multifaceted material. Our collaborations mostly result in collectible design pieces.

FOUNDER’S STORY

Unveiled at Salone del Mobile 2023, Timbart’s Founder and Creative Director Mark Cselovszki made his first international debut with his iconic ZERO table at Rossana Orlandi’s Gallery in Milan. Mark is a self-made designer, developing bespoke objects, furniture, and surfaces that are strongly rooted in the in-depth understanding of both the material and technical side of design. His design ethos is built on the balance of artistic freedom and technical know-how.

SUSTAINABILITY IS EMBEDDED IN OUR DNA

CONSCIOUS SOURCING I One of Timbart’s most important values is understanding sustainable forestry. We only use timber from approved sustainable forests and produce everything locally in Europe. The client who chooses us also advocates consciously for these core values.

LOCAL PRODUCTION I Timbart is keen to support local suppliers and manufacturers hence we work hands-on with local artisans and carpenters to maintain the highest quality possible. Working with trusted suppliers and manufacturers specializing in small quantities allows for building small-scale production lines that benefit local communities. It also allows special flexibility in the implementation of bespoke solutions.

CHEMICAL-FREE FINISHING I The reactive stain procedure is Timbart’s secretly protected process, this is how we keep the sensitive combination of quality and uniqueness. Our stains are 100% organic and free from any chemicals. We do not add any VOCs or toxic substances to them to ensure the protection of our clients and the Earth.

Odie’s Oil – We believe that the surfaces and furniture that we create can serve more generations when handled with extra care and attention.

TECHNOLOGY MEETS INNOVATION

Timbart takes the quality of wooden surfaces to the next level with a barely known technology. The procedure called reactive colouring known in ancient China, is 5000 years old. The effect we reach with the special technology works for all the wooden species containing tannin acid. This acid reacts to our secret recipes, which create magical effects and colors, that look like the natural color of the wood for our eyes, instead of perceiving stains or dye on the surface, as if it was the natural color of the wood. The procedure consisting of three steps is based on old technology combined with the requirements of the modern age.

WOOD – THE MOST MULTIFACETED MATERIAL

One of Timbart’s most important values is the protection of the Earth and the understanding of the sustainable forestry, that we represent as a company. The client who chooses us also advocates consciously for these core values. Therefore, we find it cardinal to invite the client to participate more in the project already in the wood-choosing phase. Every Timbart product is unique: by artisanal processing and using unique types of wood, having some knots, pinworm holes are not a flaw but are part of nature, hence the part of the wood.
