Anglo-Saxon style family house
- In our latest reference, we would like to present a family house in the Buda district built in the 2000s, which the owners reimagined in an Anglo-Saxon style. The designers at Insidesign reconfigured the spaces on both levels, creating a simultaneously modern and timeless interior. The focus of the design was on quality materials and functionality rather than passing trends. Clean white walls and shades of greyish beige create a neutral base, made naturally cosy by the custom stained Timbart parquet flooring. During the selection of the parquet, several pieces of furniture, such as the Riva table had already been ordered, so achieving a seamless integration was the goal in choosing the parquet. The ultimately selected parquet is a hickory parquet with a touch of cognac hue, not overly knotted – to avoid looking overly modern – but providing a sufficiently warm overall effect in harmony with the furniture, other materials, and textures.
- Covering a vast 253 square meters, the swedish floor is made from three layers of oak. Each board measures between 800-2000x146x13.5, carefully cut to precision in order to ensure a perfect fit. The surface finish is a light texture, which gives it a natural, organic feel. To complete the look, we applied a natural oil finish, adding a layer of protection and enhancing the wood’s natural beauty.
