Anna Szőnyi is an award-winning multidisciplinary designer currently based in Dubai, working across the globe. Her work process is based on an idea-driven methodology that allows the final design to be original, aesthetically stunning, and intelligently designed that function well and people enjoy. When Timbart invited her to collaborate on a table, her initial thoughts revolved around the possibilities offered by the material, but another thought followed immediately: the desire to (re)connect with nature. According to Anna and Márk, the modern person’s reverence for wood can most easily take shape in the objects found in their immediate surroundings, perhaps even in a Zen table.
